This Virtual Art Gallery is the copyrighted site of Nergis Canefe. It displays artwork, photographs, litographs, sketches and texts related to Akköy, Urgüp produced by the artist herself. These art objects are available for sale from the artist by request. There is also a hardcover AKKOY VILLAGE BOOK photography collection available for purchase at the Village House, prepared by the artist.

Nergis Canefe was born in 1967 in Turkey. She is currently working as a professor of International Law and Comparative Politics in Canada, and also teaches courses in Turkey. Her fields of expertise are international criminal law, human rights legislation, minority rights, forced migration studies and memories of societal traumas. She is also trained as a sculptor, painter and a solo musician. She is married and has two children, Josef and Ezra Wolanczyk. She is a keen photographer of Akköy and its people, as well as a portrait photographer and charcoal sketch maker.
